PEOPLE IN ROCK ART - ARGENTINA
DÁNAE FIORE
Dr. Dánae Fiore is a researcher at CONICET (National Council of Scientific Research, Argentina) and a lecturer at UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires). She received two degrees from UBA (Lic. and Prof.) and an MA and PhD from UCL (London, UK). One of her main lines of research focuses on the archaeology of rock art from economic, technological and visual-cognitive perspectives. She has applied this theoretical and methodological framework to the study of rock art in Patagonia in order to assess processes of visual communication, labour investment and spatial-temporal rates of change in image-making by hunter-gatherers.
