MARÍA DEL PILAR CASADO LOPEZ

Archaeologist from the University of Zaragoza, Spain.
PhD in Prehistory from the University of Zaragoza, Spain with the doctoral thesis: "Los signos en el arte parietal paleolítico de la Península Ibérica" (Signs in the Paleolithic parietal art of the Iberian Peninsula) graded Excellent cum laude. She was awarded the "Riba García" prize by the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters for the best thesis.   
María del Pilar is a Professor of Prehistory and Archaeology. Department of Antiquity Sciences. University of Zaragoza. Spain and Guest Lecturer, in Classes and Courses given in national and international universities and academic centres (France, Italy, Argentina, Mexico). She has specialised courses on Prehistory and rock art in France at the University of Bordeaux and at the G. Laplace Centre (Lithic typology), in Italy at the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici and at the University of Perugia and in Argentina at the Institute of Anthropology and the Catholic University of Argentina. She is a researcher for the Programa de Cooperación con Iberoamérica del Ministerio de Educación, Spain, to investigate Arte Rupestre en Argentina (Publication of the volume: Arte Rupestre Prehistórico Argentino. UCA Buenos Aires, Argentina). She is a researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, Dirección de Registro Público de Monumentos y Zonas Arqueológicos, Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, México; she is coordinator of the Project Atlas de Pictografías y Petrograbados. Directorate of Registration. INAH. Mexico; Advisor to the General Directorate of the National Water Commission (Federal Government, Mexico) for archaeological salvage works of INAH in hydraulic infrastructure works. She is also the Director of Planning, Evaluation and Project Coordination. National Coordination of Archaeology. INAH. Mexico. She is also a member of the Council of Archaeology (1988 and 2017). INAH; and teacher at the National School of Anthropology and History, Mexico, of the courses Arte Rupestre en México.
