DIEGO SALVADOR FERNÁNDEZ SÁNCHEZ

Diego Fernández holds an international PhD cum laude from the University of Cádiz, specialising in Palaeolithic art. He is a researcher associated with the PAI HUM-440 group of the same institution, with which he has participated both as a director and as an active member in numerous prehistoric archaeology projects, including his work in Cueva de Ardales, Sima de las Palomas de Teba, Benzú, La Esparragosa, Cueva de las Estrellas and Cueva del Toro de Benalmádena. His lines of interest focus on the analysis, documentation and reproduction of prehistoric graphic contexts in the Strait of Gibraltar and the mountain ranges of the inner Subbetic of Cadiz. Author of several books and more than a hundred publications of national and international impact, he combines his research career with speleological exploration and speleodiving.

HUGO A. MIRA PERALES

Hugo Mira is a manager of the company Arqueología y Patrimonio & Renova Global Services, a researcher specialising in prehistoric art and in advanced reprographic techniques, such as digital photography, 3D, orthophotography, photogrammetry, digital tracing, etc. He is a member of several research teams, such as the international team of the First art Project, University of Cadiz. He is also involved in several active projects related to the cataloguing of prehistoric art and pigment sampling. One of them is the Largo del Viguetón shelter in Los Barrios (Cádiz), and another one is the Cueva del Toro in Benalmádena (Málaga). Active participation in different scientific journals, creator of an informative series in the press, author and co-author of several books related to prehistoric art. His work on the monograph on the Las Palomas cave complex (Tarifa, Cádiz), Cuadernos de arte prehistórico sobre la cueva de Horadada, and his involvement in the re-publication of the book Arte rupestre en la provincia de Cádiz by the Topper couple stand out. He is a member of the 2nd section of the Institute of Gibraltar Studies (Archaeology, Ethnology and Cultural Heritage) and is a member of the "La Trocha" association for prehistoric art.

CARLOS GÓMEZ DE AVELLANEDA SABIO

Carlos Gómez holds a PhD in History from the UNED, and his thesis was awarded the extraordinary doctorate prize. He holds a degree in Geography and History from the University of Seville, a University Graduate in Applied Arts and a University Graduate in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. He is a secondary school teacher and chartered archaeologist and has participated in excavations in Valencia, Cádiz, San Fernando, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Arcos de la Frontera and La Línea de la Concepción, where for years he directed excavations on the network of 18th-century fortifications. In 1987 he collaborated on the regional catalogue of archaeological sites, and since 1980 he has produced the corresponding catalogues in the PGOU of Algeciras, Los Barrios, San Roque, Tarifa and La Línea. He has worked for the museums of Algeciras, Cádiz, Tarifa and San Roque, and was director of the Municipal Museum of La Línea from 2000 and 2007. He chairs a section of the IECG and the cultural association "La Trocha". Communicator and speaker at international congresses since 1995. He has given courses and conferences, organised and curated several exhibitions, written chapters in collective works and published numerous research articles, specialising in the historiography of prehistoric art.

MARÍA DEL PILAR CASADO LOPEZ

Archaeologist from the University of Zaragoza, Spain.
PhD in Prehistory from the University of Zaragoza, Spain with the doctoral thesis: "Los signos en el arte parietal paleolítico de la Península Ibérica" (Signs in the Paleolithic parietal art of the Iberian Peninsula) graded Excellent cum laude. She was awarded the "Riba García" prize by the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters for the best thesis.   
María del Pilar is a Professor of Prehistory and Archaeology. Department of Antiquity Sciences. University of Zaragoza. Spain and Guest Lecturer, in Classes and Courses given in national and international universities and academic centres (France, Italy, Argentina, Mexico). She has specialised courses on Prehistory and rock art in France at the University of Bordeaux and at the G. Laplace Centre (Lithic typology), in Italy at the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici and at the University of Perugia and in Argentina at the Institute of Anthropology and the Catholic University of Argentina. She is a researcher for the Programa de Cooperación con Iberoamérica del Ministerio de Educación, Spain, to investigate Arte Rupestre en Argentina (Publication of the volume: Arte Rupestre Prehistórico Argentino. UCA Buenos Aires, Argentina). She is a researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, Dirección de Registro Público de Monumentos y Zonas Arqueológicos, Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, México; she is coordinator of the Project Atlas de Pictografías y Petrograbados. Directorate of Registration. INAH. Mexico; Advisor to the General Directorate of the National Water Commission (Federal Government, Mexico) for archaeological salvage works of INAH in hydraulic infrastructure works. She is also the Director of Planning, Evaluation and Project Coordination. National Coordination of Archaeology. INAH. Mexico. She is also a member of the Council of Archaeology (1988 and 2017). INAH; and teacher at the National School of Anthropology and History, Mexico, of the courses Arte Rupestre en México.
